The Realm Beneath has a cover!

Friends of Vindor, rejoice! This fall you’ll have a chance to dive into a new location in Vindor—the undersea world along the coast where the merfolk nations dwell.

A new short story, “The Song of Arion,” will be published in The Realm Beneath—a sea fantasy anthology all about the mythic creatures beneath the waves.

And today I finally get to show you the beautiful nautical cover!

I’m excited about the cover because not only does it have a mermaid (big fan) but also lots of seaweed, which after all my undersea research I’ve developed an unusual affinity for (as my critique group can attest ;)

About the Anthology

The Realm Beneath: a short story collection featuring mythic creatures of the deep as you've never seen them before.

A girl who must kill a kraken to save her people. A ruined civilization seeking a new and unknown shore. A boy investigating a mysterious sighting at an aquarium. A mermaid determined to rob a sea dragon's hoard.

Find all of this and more in this new collection and prepare yourself for a world you only thought you knew . . . and an ocean full of stories.

The Realm Beneath is compiled by Allison Tebo (author of Break the Beast from the A Classic Retold series) and includes nautical stories by her, Hannah Kaye (Chase the Legend), Anna Christine, Olivia Gratehouse, Jane Maree, Danielle Bullen, and myself.

The seven diverse stories span a variety of fantasy styles—from comedic romps to light romances to serious dramas—all with clean content (no steamy siren romances here) and uplifting themes.

The anthology will be published in October and will be available in ebook, paperback and hardcover. Preorders start today!

About “The Song of Arion”

The new story explores the history of one of Vindor’s smallest nations: the dolphin-like Arion merfolk. It will be my first Vindor “origin story,” going back in time to chronicle the forces that drove the nomadic Arion people to Vindor’s shores, and the surprises they found there.

The civilization behind her gone, mermaid Deneb Algedi joins a ragtag group of survivors who discover an unknown coast. Will this new world save them—or take away everything they have left?

Thanks again, friends of Vindor. If you’d like to have future release announcements come to you directly, join my email newsletter.
