Valshara Sh’a illustration revealed!
You searched for her, and many of you found her! Here she is, the feisty goblin Valshara Sh’a:
Careful, she bites!
Valshara Sh’a is a fierce warrior and an able survivalist who will take on any physical danger to secure her freedom. A privileged daughter of the goblin’s oppressive Masters class, Valshara joined the vicious BloodHand secret police force.
But political power is a fickle thing in the Dominion. When the BloodHands fell from power, Valshara ended up in the Pit—a slave labor camp where for the past six years she’s suffered and planned her revenge on society.
She makes a death-defying escape from the Pit, squeezing through tunnels too claustrophobic even for most goblins.
Vengeance and violence are all she wants in life—but an encounter with a strange band of goblin refugees is about to rewrite her story entirely.
Valshara’s redemption story is featured in my award-winning Les Misérables retelling, Crack the Stone.
Thanks again to the amazing Jess Lindsey for capturing Valshara's spirit so beautifully. Jess not only did the cover art for Escape to Vindor and Mists of Paracosmia, but also has created illustrations repesenting each of Vindor’s many people groups. You can browse through all of her gorgeous work on WorldofVindor.com.
And congrats to all those who found her on the site! I'll reach out to the first 10 to get your address and mail you your prize.
And for those of you wondering, Valshara’s picture appears on the Goblins page (with the black hand symbol).
Thank you, friends!
